Length of Rottweiler body is the run from brisket to the tuber of ischium. Theoretically, this size must be only 15% more than Rottweiler’s body height at withers. Trunk height of adult Rottweiler is 73-76 cm as a rule (males’ height) and 69-71cm (females’ one). Height at withers is the reach from the highest counter’s point to ground level. (The measurement is done strictly upright). Males’ height at crest is 61-68 cm; that of females’ is 56-63 cm. Best height for the males is 65-66 cm, for females is 60-61 cm. Excellent weight of adult Rottweiler is 50 kg (for males) and 42 kg for females. When measuring circumference of chest one must add 20 cm to the measure of Rottweiler’s withers height. The result will be different: males’ size will be a little bit bigger than females’. Depth of chest should be measured at the top point of crest down to the base of chest bone at a tangent to the relief angle of shoulder blade. (measurement line must be strictly vertical). Ideally, the size of chest’s depth must not be considerably bigger or less than 50% of the size of withers height of the dog.
