When estimating Rottweiler’s lips dog experts pay attention to skin pigmentation. Lips and gingivae must not be pink as it is obvious default since improper pigmentation of these parts may be the sign of total depigmentation. Lips must be tightly pressed together and be of black color. Normally, gingivae are darkish. According to the breed standard adult Rottweiler must have 42 teeth: 22 are on the lower jaw and 20 on upper one. Teeth must be strong and undamaged; bite is scissor.
